I am currently a paralegal in the dispute resolution team at Ellisons Sollicitors in Bury St Edumunds helping clients resolve disputes such as boundary disagreements, non payment of rent and even dilapidation proceedings and everything in between.I have been fortunate to undertake a small amount of legal work experience over my time at University. I have been able to attend the Magistrates' Court in York which has given me a good understanding of contentious work, especially criminal defence and prosecution. I have also been fortunate enough to undergo a Vacation Scheme at Ellisons Solicitors where I learnt more about non-contentious work in Commercial Property and the way in which these matters are handled.I have also gained a number of transferable skills throughout not only my time in education but also through my extra curricular activities. These include teamwork and forming teams as well as good communication through activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh's award and Fire Cadets. These experiences whilst being enjoyable taught me valuable skills for not only university but also later work.
