With over 10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, image processing, signal processing, embedded software, and software engineering, I have a diverse skill set and a passion for technology and its application to real-world problems.In addition to my role ICEYE, I am also the founder and head mead maker of Mellivora, a company that celebrates the botanical diversity of South Africa through the creation of unique meads from indigenous honey. I also serve as a technical advisor to the data science team at Project Canopy, a non-profit organization that builds algorithms to detect deforestation and illegal logging in the Congo Basin Rainforest. These projects reflect my commitment to ecology, conservation, and sustainability, as well as my creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.My values are curiosity, fairness, and safety-net. I believe that constraints lead to more creative and simpler solutions, and that technology should be used to make a net positive impact on the world.
