Lloyd B. Jameson (LBJ) is an astute International Relations professional. He formerly served as the Senior Advisor to the President and Vice President of the Corporate Council on Africa. He also served as the (Acting) Director of the Energy portfolio to include the Power Africa portfolio. He has over 24 years of managerial and leadership skills and over 12 years experience working extensively with African nations and their leadership, providing advice, advocacy and improving defense and security relations. LBJ served as a Senior Fellow at the African Affairs Department, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In this position, LBJ provided strategic advisory services to several Fortune 500 companies including economic, political and security assessments of West Africa, Central Africa and Angola. His efforts were a critical component to the Chamber achieving its mission to convene ministerial level forums between African Heads of State, U.S. and African companies, and U.S. government officials. He addressed trade policy, commercial opportunities, and increased foreign direct investment in Africa. He was integral to the inaugural U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit held in August 2014. He has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East and Israel, adding cultural acumen to his relationships. LBJ has also spearheaded numerous strategic partnerships between the U.S. and Africa, many of which endure to this day. His international, diplomatic and policy savvy, led to his appointment serving as the first Deputy Foreign Policy Advisor to the newly established U.S. Africa Command. He advised the Commander on U.S. - Africa foreign policy, maximizing U.S. – Africa communication and engagements and partnering six U.S. States with six African nations. LBJ obtained his Masters in Intl Relations from Tufts University, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He is multilingual, a veteran and has served our nation for over 24 years.
