VETLANTA is a club organization that was founded by veteran employee groups from several Fortune 100 companies in the greater Atlanta area. In our early days, our summits consisted of 10-25 veteran advocates sitting in a room and talking about best practices. Our ranks now consider of several hundred members from 100+ organizations and our summits are routinely attended by 250+ participants. Our focus is to collaborate to make Atlanta the top destination for veterans. VETLANTA is an unincorporated club, which shall be operated to make Atlanta the premier destination for veterans. This includes veteran social and business networking and veteran related community service. VETLANTA’s purpose is to foster collaboration with the greater Atlanta community, including without limitation other veteran support groups, to support veteran-oriented initiatives. VETLANTA seeks to strengthen the community of Atlanta through empowering veterans, recognizing their individual and collective skills and worth. Provides the commander a mission-ready enlisted force to execute the unit mission. Must remain vigilant for, and move to resolve, issues that, left unchecked, would adversely impact the readiness of enlisted members. Prepares enlisted personnel of the organization to deploy in support of mission requirements. Exercise the necessary leadership to provide and sustain a mission-ready workforce for the commander. Advises the commander on a wide range of topics including the health, esprit de crops, discipline, mentoring, well being, career progression, professional development, and recognition of all assigned enlisted members. Assists the commander in preparation and execution of unit training and information programs (e.g. commander's call). Attends staff meetings. Represents the commander at base meetings and councils, and when conducting tours through unit areas. Works with fellow senior noncommissioned officers (SNCO) and supervisory personnel to ensure discipline is equitably maintained, and the health, esprit de crops, discipline, mentoring, and welfare of the enlisted force are met. Ensures supervisors set an appropriate example for the subordinates. Provides leadership and guidance to supervisors and members enabling them to resolve problems or complaints at the lowest level. Coordinates the resolution of complex problems with the supervisor, member, commander, and appropriate base agencies. Maintains liaison with base agencies to ensure availability of services for unit members. Ensures training is provided on matters of leadership, customs and courtesies, dress and personal appearance, self-discipline, adherence to standards, drill and ceremony, safety, hygiene, and sanitation. Supports and promotes profession military education activities. Corrects conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. Supervises administrative actions directed by the commander.

Loadmaster - Reviews aircraft weight & balance records & cargo manifest. Determines quantity of cargo and passengers to be loaded & proper placement in aircraft. Computes load & cargo distribution. Computes weight & balance & determines the amount of weight to be placed in each compartment or at each station. Considers factors such as fuel load, aircraft structural limits & emergency equipment required. Accomplishes pre-flight of aircraft according to flight manuals; pre-flights specific aircraft systems such as restraint rail and airdrop equipment. Operates radios, pre-flights aerospace ground equipment & applies external power to the aircraft. Performs in-flight and special mission specific duties as required. Monitors cargo and passengers in-flight & assists passengers as required. Conducts cargo & personnel airdrops according to directives. Operates aircraft personnel airdrop system & supervises paratroopers exiting the aircraft. Tanker Airlift Control Element (TALCE) Mission Support Team Chief and Head Affiliation Instructor - A TALCE is a deployable Air Mobility Command (AMC) organization established at fixed, en route and deployed locations where AMC operational support is insufficient. A TALCE provides on-site management of airfield operations including command & control, communications, aerial port services, maintenance, security, weather, and intelligence. A TALCE is composed of mission support elements & deploys in support of contingency/emergency relief operations on both a planned and "no-notice" basis. The Affiliation Program is designed to develop a mutual understanding of air mobility requirements, air mobility capabilities and to build a professional and cooperative environment between Department of Defense and NATO users of U.S. military airlift and its providers. Affiliation training includes instruction on load planning and teaching organizations on how to plan, prepare and deploy by air with minimal assistance from Air Mobility Command.
