Great experience in plants and business unit’s management and administration as well as proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, TOC, TPM and other Management Systems Manufacturing Over 30 years working at COO and Operations Director at Volkswagen/MAN Trucks and Buses, President and CEO in an OEM Supplier Parts Company and as COO and Executive Operations Director at Paccar/DAF Trucks having become a member of the Board of these companies in Brazil. I have built my career taking positions in diversified areas such as Industrial Director, Manufacturing Director, Plant Manager, After Sales, After Market and Parts Director, General Operating Director and President. In these positions I reported directly to the President of Volkswagen/MAN in Brazil and to the Global Vice President of Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing of Volkswagen Group in Germany, President of Global Operations at Marmon Highway Technologies in US and President of Paccar/DAF in Brazil and actually, at TTB, reporting directly to the company´s board in the united States. Responsible for all 4 Volkswagen/MAN Truck and Bus Plants construction, implementation, start-up and operations, Resende (Rio de Janeiro), Puebla (Mexico), Port Elizabeth (South Africa) and Colombia and all 3 MHT Plants in Brazil, Sao Paulo and Curitiba and now, responsible for the Paccar/DAF new plant in Ponta Grossa (Parana).

 Currently performance adviser for automotive companies. I am also providing business consulting and business work for companies in the automotive industry in the areas of organization, restructuring, planning and budgeting, P&L, business plan, cycle plan, tax recovery, cost reduction and savings, purchasing area and supply chain. Developing and supporting companies to adapt and make change due to the crises and reduced volumes and market down. Also working on tax planning and union negotiations and customers. I am a member of ANFAVEA and also SINDIPEÇAS Advisor.

 Responsible for all business and P&L and for all TTB Group Operations in Brasil. 4 Plants in Brazil.  TTB is a multinational company with American capital, a manufacturer of metal fasteners, stamped and welded assemblies. The TTB provides components and parts for all the major manufacturers of cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles and tractors and agricultural machinery. Market leader in its segment and has 60 years of Brazil.  TTB also provides components and parts for for all major suppliers and parts manufacturers (Tiers 1 and 2). I had under my responsibility and reporting direct to me all areas such as: Sales and Marketing, Finance and IT, Engineering and Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, HR, Production/Operations and Legal. TTB has 4 plants in Brazil. 2 of them planned, built and started the operations under my responsibility and after I have jointed the company. Reporting directly to the company's board in the United States.

As member of the Board of Paccar/DAF in Brazil, I was responsible for the new plant construction in the city of Ponta Grossa (Parana). I was also responsible for the start-up, operation and management. Responsible to implement in Brazil the same DAF Production System following the same concept used in the DAF Europe Plants: Leyland Plant – Manchester – UK, DAF Plant – Eindhoven – Nederland’s and DAF Plant – Westerlo – Belgium. As the Executive Director of Operations I was responsible for Quality and Supplier Quality, Logistics and Materials, Manufacturing and Production, Site Administration and for all Purchasing area for Brazil, production parts and non-production goods and for the P&L of the Operations Areas. Responsible for all the budget and the results of the business unit. Responsible to develop and implement the Supply Chain in Brazil to assure the 60% local content to start the production in Brazil in 2013 to fit the IPI rules and legislation, the “Regime Automotivo Brasileiro” and FINAME benefits.

 As President of MHT Brazil I had full P&L (profit and loss) responsibility for all the MHT business lines in Brazil, reporting to MHT CV Undercarriage President. I worked collaboratively with other MHT business units and MHT Management Team in US.  This required an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and select existing MHT product lines in North America to bring them to Brazil, based on market opportunity. I was responsible to create “critical mass” for each individual business line.  Responsible for the 3 MHT Plants in Brazil, WEBB Hubs and Drums that supply and sales parts to After Market, Fontaine Fifth Wheel that supply parts to the OEM such as MBB, Scannia, Volvo, Volkswagen and MAN their After Market Dealers and TSE Brake Chambers and other parts.  Also I was responsible for the import operations of Marmon-Herrington Transfer Cases and 4x4 Front Axles to supply military vehicles to Volkswagen Truck and Bus in Brazil. Developed and executed a profitable growth strategy for MHT in South America, using Fontaine do Brazil as a starting point. I developed a business plan to select and launch product lines from the existing MHT portfolio in North America.  I was responsible to develop the market and maintain healthy levels of Contribution Margin and Overhead, driving towards ROS targets in three years from implementation.  Developed a market communications plan to launch and grow MHT in Brazil and South America, creating brand awareness for MHT and its respective product lines. Developed meaningful business relationships with key customers and prospects, showcasing our R&D and manufacturing capabilities in North America.  I created and developed a small but effective organization that can profitably launch and grow new product lines with value selling, customer service and support. I developed local applications engineering capability to support customization and proper installation guidelines for OEM and aftermarket customers.

 Elaborated and developed the “Modular Consortium” model for vehicle production and built four plants for Volkswagen Truck and Buses in Rio de Janeiro, Mexico, Colombia and South Africa. This production model has led the company to the leadership position in the Brazilian truck market for six consecutive years. For 10 years I have conducted the operations in all plants including production, logistics, purchasing engineering, maintenance and business unit administration and I was responsible for the BU results. Elaborated, planned and built the Volkswagen Trucks and Buses Logistics Center and the Parts and Systems Consolidation Center for parts and components provision and distribution to the logistics chain of the 4 plants and their 400 suppliers. Implemented the SKD concept for the plants abroad. Between 1995 and 1996 I have built and inaugurated the new Volkswagen Trucks and Buses plant in Resende, Rio de Janeiro. Negotiated and facilitated the transfer of Volkswagen production from Ford´s plant in Sao Paulo to the new plant which was built under the new concept of “Modular Consortium”. This production model consists of having the partners and suppliers inside the plant, producing their own components and also assembly vehicles, sharing the business risks, investments and profits. I have coordinated and managed 8 partner companies, 2 construction companies, 3 design companies and 1 management and timing company. In 1989, I conducted the transfer of Volkswagen Trucks and Buses production lines from the Sao Bernardo do Campo (SP) plant to Ford´s plant in Sao Paulo (SP) initiating the Volkswagen and Ford´s production in one manufacturing unit and production line, reducing , this way, the production and logistics costs. Responsible to implement and lead the VWPS (Volkswagen Production System) in all 4 Truck and Bus Plants, introducing, training, implementing and working TPM, Kanban, LEAN Manufacturing, “Toyota” concept and system, Kaizen, TQM and 6 Sigma.
