As main functions: -The search of alternatives for patented technologies in water pumps. In order to expand our product range. -Development of new products or parts (still out of catalog, pre-project, concepts). -Part standardization projects. -Evaluation of part substitutions, either due to cost savings, or situations derived from the supply chain. -Redesign of current products in order to minimize costs or improve the production process. In addition to the main functions of R&D, in this position I continue to offer support to all the tasks previously carried out during my phase as Product Engineer in technical office. As well as giving specific technical and procedural training for new members who are being added to the technical office team.

Design and development of automotive products using reverse engineering. A job position that is characterized by its wide approach as Dolz has casting, machining, assembly and packaging sections. To do so, it is necessary the precise application of DFM and DFA techniques in order to avoid unnecessary costs in later sections, whether this costs are time related or to minimize product rejection.Within the main functions are:- Defining the initial technical requirements for the project.- First hand cooperation with suppliers to verify new designs and specifications.- Direct contact with clients to give technical assistance or documentation.- The documentary control of the project through ERP (Cert. of materials, PPAPs, Project launch sheets, Design freeze reports)- Project management (Control of the progress on each phase of the project such as the definition of Initial requirements, design of the product, search for suppliers, validation and final execution).- The design of quality tests and the acceptance criteria for new products.- ECN definition and monitoring.- Updating the DFMEA.- Dimensional and functional control of first samples.- 3D design of mechanical parts and assemblies.- The training of the commercial department on new products.- Collaboration with the quality department for the resolution of 8Ds, and the design of inspection plans.Other secondary functions include:- Measurement and support for quality inspectors when measuring in CMM.- CMM programming (Mitutoyo MCOSMOS)
