I'm a lecturer of several modules and also the responsible on the development of some new educational materials in UNIGIS Girona, the Spanish node of the UNIGIS International Association (www.unigis.net). I'm also lecturer in some of our on-line and on-site training courses based on the use of Free and Open Source GIS Software, like FormaSIG http://www.sigte.udg.edu/formasig.

Las Jornadas de SIG Libre son una iniciativa del Servicio de SIG y Teledetección – SIGTE– de la Universitat de Girona que nacieron el año 2007 y están dedicadas al programario libre en el campo de los SIG. Edición tras edición, estas jornadas demuestran la existencia de una comunidad SIG activa y dinámica, y se convierten en un punto de encuentro –cada marzo en Girona– donde compartir conocimientos, experiencias y fortalecer vínculos alrededor de las soluciones libres. Las Jornadas de SIG Libre son el evento de referencia en la comunidad SIG en España y cuentan con mayor presencia internacional en cada nueva edición. Unas jornadas que apuestan más por “el mira cómo lo hago” que por “el mira qué hago”. Más allá de los aspectos técnicos y de programa, el valor característico de las Jornadas es el ambiente de proximidad y colaboración que transmiten, facilitando el intercambio de conocimientos, experiencias y relaciones en un entorno encantador y acogedor como Girona.
