Greetings! I'm Luuk Schalkwijk, a driven biomedical sciences student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. My educational journey has ignited a fascination for the intersection of biology and data science, driving me to explore the exciting world of bioinformatics. Currently, I'm also contributing my skills as a part-time microbiological analyst at Eurofins Zaandam. This hands-on experience has given me valuable insights into the practical applications of the theories I study.Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I find solace and strength in the sport of weightlifting. The discipline, determination, and focus it demands have not only improved my physical health but also instilled in me a sense of mental fortitude that I bring to all aspects of my life.In a unique role, I serve as a National Technical Official (NTO) for Dutch weightlifting.
