I’m Laura Burke and I help people gain confidence, overcome obstacles & reach their potential by teaching them how to use entrepreneurial skills in their everyday lives. With over 25 years in education and leadership, I’m dedicated to empowering people of all ages to thrive through 7 proven entrepreneurial skills: Collaborate, Innovate, Risk-Taking, Recognize Opportunity, Critical Thinking, Learn from Failure, and Stay Curious. These skills aren’t just for entrepreneurs; they’re for everyone, and they lay the foundation for building confidence, resilience, and real-world success.Throughout my career, I’ve challenged the status quo, creating pathways for students, educators, and leaders to grow beyond what they ever thought possible! I founded and led the Clara Brown Entrepreneurial Academy (CBEA), Colorado’s first K-8 entrepreneurial magnet school, a unique model designed to empower students through real-world skills and innovative thinking. With CBEA, I learned that entrepreneurial skills aren’t just for business – they’re for everyone! Now, as a speaker, consultant, and author, I’m passionate about helping people harness these entrepreneurial skills to find confidence, purpose, and success in every area of their lives. My work focuses on fostering collaboration, encouraging risk-taking, and building a culture of empathy and empowerment. I’m here to guide others in discovering and leveraging these skills, whether through consulting on educational initiatives for kids, leading teacher workshops, or coaching women to step bravely into their own potential.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a Master’s Degree in Education from Regis University, and have earned state licensure as a K-12 Principal, Special Education Director, and Superintendent from the University of Colorado’s Executive Leadership Program. I’m also a contributing author to several publications, including the Denver Journal for Education & Community. When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my friends or family that includes my husband and our blended family of seven kids, ages 12 to 32. Whether it’s walking our dogs, hiking, scuba diving, relaxing on a patio, or exploring new places, I find inspiration outdoors. I’m also an avid reader and creator, always exploring new projects—from design to discovering fresh perspectives through travel and connection.
