About Laura Mccabe

I am a Partner and Solicitor Advocate in the Dispute Resolution team of DWF. My background covers most aspects of civil and commercial litigation, having been appearing in the sheriff courts for over 13 years. That includes general commercial work, negligence, insolvency, and regulatory, as well as numerous public sector matters. I have particular experience in contentious health and safety matters. I frequently appear throughout the sheriff courts of Scotland in Fatal Accident Inquiries, as well as the Sheriff Appeal Court and Court of Session. In 2018, I spent a really interesting six months seconded to a litigation team in Hong Kong working on integration between the Asian and UK offices, as well as assisting the team with day-to-day litigation matters. I thoroughly enjoyed tutoring the Civil Litigation course on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde and the Commercial Litigation elective on the Professional Legal Practice Diploma at The University of Edinburgh.
