Founder, Director | Helping Civic Hackers Connect, Collaborate, And Increase Their Impact.
CurrentOur mission is to create and empower a global community of people who are using data and technology to create positive social change. We seek to develop leaders that will fill opportunity and influence gaps that exist in the civic tech, tech-for-good, and data-for-good spaces, both geographically and demographically.➤ HOW WE DO IT:1. We host the annual Civic Hacker Summit, our online conference highlighting and celebrating the amazing work being done around the world to leverage data and tech for civic and social good. Through this event, we bring awareness to a select, diverse pool of problem solvers with the goal of inspiring new civic hackers to take action in their communities.2. We nurture our online community in multiple ways: ⭐ Our award-winning Civic Hacker Podcast (Have you subscribed? 😉)⭐ Hosting monthly virtual meetups⭐ Providing online group learning opportunities⭐ Responding to the specific requests and needs of our members⭐ Social media content, free resources, and moreFrom time to time, we open the doors to our signature program, called the Community Impact Accelerator. It is a unique offering that helps social impact leaders plan, measure, and communicate their impact. This 12-week, virtual program is designed to help civic tech or tech-for-good leaders take necessary steps to sustain their work and increase their impact.➤ WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT:Unlike typical business accelerators our programs focus on your mission, not market cap. We value the contributions of ALL people in creating, sharing, iterating on, and innovating from the universe of solutions to public problems. It doesn’t matter whether you are a social entrepreneur, individual grassroots volunteer, nonprofit program leader or social sector professional, anyone who seeks to use data and technology to make the world a better place is welcome to join our community.Questions?
