I provide technical, strategic business, and application consulting to small and medium sized businesess. My clients range from sole propritor startups to established businesess with several hundred employees. I have set up accounting and point of sale systems for restaurants and retail locations, deployed network domains into small but growing businesses, and have managed IT departments for companies with thiry or more servers and multiple locations.The primary focus of my services is Office 365 and Dynamics 365. My engagements have been as simple as setting up a new Office 365 account, attaching vanity domains to it, migrating email, and setting up Outlook profiles to wide ranging SharePoint custom development and architecture. I have migrated and re-designed and moved SharePoint 2003, 2007 and 2010 on premise sites to SharePoint online. Hand in hand with many of these assignments has been the strategic business planning and development of business processes. My most valuable contributions, however, come from providing sound business and strategic planning advice for these companies in how to use the technology to drive their business objectives, increase employee productivity, and expand their market reach. For example, after installing a POS system for a small restaurant that did a substantial take out business, I showed them how to use the customer data with mapping software to see what neighborhoods were generating the most - and the least - business. I have been appointed to the DAC, College of Business at LSU for a three year term. This is an exciting and humbling opportunity. It is richly rewarding to have been and continue to be a guest lecturer at classes in there, to interact and mentor students. With the appointment to the DAC, I hope to help shape how students are recruited, maintained within their degree programs, how businesses partner with the University, and perhaps what and how subject matter is presented in the courses. Dean White has assembled an incredible staff and faculty, and it is a wonderful to work with them all.

I have been periodically return to LSU to lecture to entrepreneurial students on issues concerning career paths, startups, general business and IT strategies. This will likely be ongoing for the foreseeable future. As a follow up, I remain in contact with students to mentor them on projects and help them with contacts.

My principal duties included development of the original ideas, founding the company, securing funding, overseeing corporate activities such as legal, sales and marketing, HR, and investor relations.

Nantucket developed and marketed "Clipper," an application development tool most closely identified as a dBase compiler. When I joined the company, annual revenues were about $10, and when the company was purchased by Computer Associates in June, 1992, those had rised to over $40. Nantucket had established overseas operations in seven countries, including Russia, and the customer base grew from about 35,000 to over 300,000 registered users from 1989 to 1992. Duties included day to day operations, liason with all overseas offices, sales and marketing, customer service, technical support and product manufacturing and distribution.
