As Individual Giving Director, I strive to build strong, special relationships with those who are committed to helping individuals with MS live their best lives now, to restoring lost function and to ending this disease forever. With my own close personal connection to MS, the mission of the National MS Society is meaningful to me... I work to ensure that my family and so many others are no longer affected by the complications, worry and pain that MS causes.In my development role with the Society, I lead a strong and dedicated team that engages in donor relations work across the northern United States, from Ohio through Alaska. I create and execute strategy related to attracting, retaining and growing the base of supporters within our elite donor recognition group for those contributing $1,000 or more annually. I connect with individuals to educate them about the efforts of and advances by the Society within the MS movement. I strive to understand their needs and interests for the sake of not only knowing our core supporters better, but also being able to see how we can be most effective partners in driving the work forward, toward a cure.I work to connect individuals with a passion for ending MS to the Society. I cherish meeting with donors to learn more about who they are and why they've chosen to support us so that each individual is treated uniquely, as we build this life-long relationship.

"If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."Park Academy is the only school in Oregon that specializes in serving elementary through high school students with dyslexia. Working within this rapidly growing organization, I served as the Director of Park Academy's $8 Million capital campaign to get the school to its next level of building a new school that would double its capacity. Helping to guide and work beside the organization's Trustees, I secured numerous major gifts for the campaign as well as received multiple large grants, including one for $400,000 from a prestigious local community foundation.

As Volunteer Coordinator at PCEI, I coordinated more than 1,000 volunteers annually for ongoing positions, internships and events. I recruited, oriented and trained a diverse group of volunteers on varying projects each week and coordinated city wide events that included hundreds of volunteer participants. Additionally, I developed and organized numerous successful fundraising and educational events.

As COS, I built supportive relationships for organizational programs with key community figures, including the City Mayor and other elected officials. I regularly presented to community groups in order to promote the organization and it's mission as well as highlight upcoming events. As a representative of PCEI within the community, I served to encourage citizen involvement.

As a programmer for the VCSC, I designed and implemented successful programs relating to social justice issues that educated the community and promoted opportunities for involvement. I provided unique, episodic volunteer opportunities and helped match ongoing volunteers with community organizations in need of assistance. In addition, I developed campus wide functions that increased awareness of the issues.
