As an Aqua Illinois Project Engineer I was responsible for managing engineering needs across all three divisions of the state. I was our Illinois SCADA point of contact and was responsible for overseeing all SCADA initiatives and projects across the state. Additionally, I served as AQUA IL's Dam Safety State Engineer, responsible for annual inspections, EAP's, O&M manuals and continued maintenance for all dams across the state.

As a Water Main Design Engineer consulting for the City of Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM), it was my responsibility to assess existing water main alignments and determine the best design of replacement mains for new construction. The focus of these designs were centered around maintaining regulatory separation requirements from neighboring utilities, evaluating site conditions and conducting feasibility studies for possible design alignments and performing projected cost analysis to for efficient use of allocated funds.During my time as an engineer for DWM I accomplished:•Designed 88 miles of ductile iron water main for the City of Chicago Department of Water Management (Productivity: 2.5 miles/month & 25% of total design during time period) •Sequenced the construction of water main designs and coordinated field changes with water main inspectors •Conducted project estimates in WinEst for both In-House and Term Agreement contracts amounting to over $200M in total construction, restoration and labor costs spanning the completion of 158 individual water main design projects•Established effective communication and project coordination with CDWM and OUC (e.g. ComEd, AT&T, People’s Gas, etc.) to resolve conflicts with existing facilities and revised water main designs to meet specifications set forth by utilities•Performed QC’s of preliminary WM designs and provided direction on feasibility and cost efficiency of each proposed WM•Reviewed proposed utility alignments from ComEd, AT&T, Sunesys, and PGL for approval with respect to WM design•Created a traffic control plan/IDOT permits procedure manual for the design team, completed required TCPs/IDOT permits

I performed sales consultation for the American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches (AICTC). During my collaboration with AICTC I established significant business growth and improved client relationships through effective outreach and communication.

I assisted graduate researchers with environmental engineering research pertaining to water quality. I primarily studied the adhesion of legionella pneumophila to drinking water distribution materials such as copper and PVC.

Maintained and operated Center for Disease Control (CDC) reactors and the growth of biofilm through monochloramine disinfection.

Evansville Digester Rehabilitation-Completed a full hydraulic analysis of the East and West Waste Water Treatment Plants.-Performed hydraulic calculations for various pumps and process lines in order to propose appropriate replacement pumps.City of Bloomington Process Air Study-Interpreted information pertaining to the plants blower system and compared past blower performance to future expectations.-Assisted the CBU to sustain a more efficient process air system in supplying their active aeration tanks and aerobic digesters.South Bend Digester Upgrade Design/Gas Utilization-Assisted with modeling the steps to the digester start-up plan.-Prepared three years of MRO data and investigated the parameters needed to effectively propose a feasible gas utilization plan.Mishawaka Model Update-Updated rainfall data recorded by flow meters in order to calibrate the model for the Mishawaka CSO long term control plan.

Implemented JAVA to develop an Android app for sketch-based interactions to enhance understanding and visualization of groundwater flow.
