After earning my M.S. in Pathology and my D.D.S. from The Ohio State University, I entered the world of private practice dentistry in the central Ohio communities of Hilliard and then Powell, Ohio. My goal was to help patients achieve oral health while managing the enormous demands of small business ownership. The challenges of dental practice ownership sparked an interest in assisting new dentists in entering their careers successfully.To that end, I founded Practical Private Practice, an externship for the General Practice Residents at OSU. In the practicum, residents could train in private practice's clinical aspects and business demands. Through that experience, I discovered a passion for helping people learn well. I completed an M.Ed. at Wright State University in Instructional Design to equip myself to practice my passion for designing and implementing quality learning. Through my experiences, I have developed skills in practice monitoring, staff training, and business improvement. I'm thrilled to be part of Whalen CPAs Healthcare and Dental Services Consulting team devoted to helping healthcare businesses thrive.
