Collaborate with State of New Hampshire DHHS Division of Children, Youth and Families and Division of Juvenile Justice Services in providing case file and face to face compliance reviews of youth who are in out of home placements. Supervise 6 reviewers located throughout the state and a data analyst located in Concord. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports addressing Federal compliance’s and provide an overview of strengths, needs and recommendations for the Agency systemic and programmatic changes. Provide supervision and training for reviewers and DHHS staff. Lead development and oversight of a pilot project for youth in foster care, Youth Permanency Initiative, which was implemented in two district offices. This project assesses the needs of youth who are aging out of the foster care system and are in need of permanent adult connections.

Identified problematic systemic issues assisted agencies with corrective actions and developed proactive reparative plans. Perform Medicaid program audits and develop corrective action plans. The development of policies and procedures to meet federal and state agency guidelines was essential. Out comes based focus included participation in a statewide computer automation work group, a system that supported the system of care initiative. Develop core capacities and designated agency guidelines for the Children’s Behavioral Health agencies across the state. Contribute to central review committee including the Department of Education, Social and Rehabilitation Services, and Health Department. Crisis support and oversight was provided to ensure appropriate hospitalizations for children. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining federal funding for mental health services related to child services.

Developed and maintained a communication system between the 10 SRS Offices and state office of Vermont Health Access and the Managed Care Plans. I developed training material and presentations to inform about health care changes for children in foster care. The materials assisted in the navigation of services for youth in state’s care. Provided technical assistance and advocacy as needed, to obtain services for children in custody. Participated in inter agency work groups that included individuals from the Health Department and the participating Health Plans to address health care issues relevant to the children in SRS custody. Provided case/care management between state agency and MCO.
