Nursing is an all-encompassing career - I should know, I've been an RN since 1993. As the most trusted profession in the United States for over a decade, nurses have the unique ability to positively influence the health outcomes of those willing to lend an ear. As a nurse, I enjoy influencing others through multiple facets of communication - spoken, gestures, and written.I am a Certified Personal Trainer, a Healthy Lifestyle Coach, and an RN with a passion for healthy living. I support accurate and concise educational materials to enhance overall well-being. Through consistent movement and proper nutrition healthy outcomes can be achieved. I maintain a healthy/active lifestyle not only so that I can enjoy each day, but also to be a role model for those around me. Others have actually adopted new "good" habits because of my actions and encouragement. My nursing career has allowed me to care for life from beginning to end (ER, hospice, research). As I fully support healthy living, healthy end-of-life care is equally essential. Supporting patients in hospice care is an honor. Educating their family and friends is both rewarding and challenging as can be expected under such circumstances. I feel more education is needed. Now that I have the opportunity to enhance the lives of others through coaching and writing - I am confident they will be excited about the simplicity associated with being healthy.My goal is to guide others. A healthy lifestyle may find you walking upright with a long stride for years to come. An understanding of the events during end-of-life care may provide peace at a most crucial time.
