About Leah Terry

As the Government Relations Coordinator at Defenders of Wildlife, I work to advance Defenders' advocacy agenda by assisting the Government Relations Team with congressional lobbying efforts and grassroots organizing to strengthen conservation laws and wildlife protections.Prior to joining Defenders, I was a Program Coordinator at the Network for Public Health Law. In this role, I supported executive leadership with internal and external communications and branding, and served on the Climate Change and Health Equity Workgroup.I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Letters & Science Honors Program in 2023, earning a degree in Political Science and Communication Arts, as well as minors in Public Policy and Gender & Women’s Studies.
