• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on vehicles/units in accordance with company Policies, Procedures and programs to the set quality standards. • Repair and replace pneumatic, suspension, hydraulic, braking system and transmission components. • Use Diagnostic Assistance System (DAS) to carry out fault finding, clearing faults, resetting checking fluid levels and monitoring temperature as well as communicating with various vehicles components. • Carry out maintenance and repair work and overhaul on HME, light motor vehicles, trucks, trailers and forklifts • Assist in planning organizing and controlling of the timeous and quality completion of vehicle repairs, annual maintenance, and ad-hoc programs. • Inform the foreman daily the status of vehicle under my care, to include vehicle availability, breakdowns, reworks, accidents, misuse, and tribology status as well as fuel consumption. • Compile documentation of vehicle units repaired, generating requisitions and job cards. • Ensure continuous company adherence to international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OHSAS. • Identification of opportunities of improvement on machinery and work procedures. • Liaising with OEMs on all maintenance related issues that require their involvement • Assist in managing of all contract works and outsourced services for the workshop
