In this role I am the Lead Tableau developer responsible for ensuring all products presented to our stakeholders meet the high level of quality that is expected from the Data Platforms Insights group. This includes developing dashboards that utilize advanced Tableau functionality like LODs, table calculations, dynamic zone visibility, and dashboard actions (set actions, parameter actions, etc.).Additionally, our data visualizations are sourced from data that volumes in the hundreds of millions of rows per day. As the Lead Tableau developer, it is my responsibility to work closely with the ETL team to ensure that all consumption layer tables being output by our ETL pipeline have exactly the data we need aggregated sufficiently to ensure that our Tableau extracts will run smoothly and quickly for our stakeholders. This entails participating heavily in design discussions with the ETL team as they develop the integration and aggregation layers of our data pipeline. These skills and responsibilities have resulted in me developing a skillset that allows me to consider the entire end-to-end requirements for a Tableau dashboard: from raw data, through ETL, and into Tableau.

In this role, I am responsible for managing all data analytics and reporting for the Micron Supply Chain Integrated Business Planning team, which has ~40 team members and a diverse set of requirements from reporting metrics, to comprehensive data analytics. Beyond that, I serve as the primary technical expert for Tableau with the Global Supply Chain team, and support over 250 team members by answering questions and giving advice on reporting best practices. I am also the SME for all demand related data, and serve as a key stakeholder when any new dataset that involves demand data is being requested.Lastly, I am leading an effort to support cross functional data and reporting between sales, finance, business units, and supply chain to ensure all teams are aware of key data sets, reports, and capabilities. I lead a monthly forum where we discuss important topics to all functional areas as well as lead training sessions on Tableau and SAP HANA data reporting.
