Hello, and thank you for stopping by!I have over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, digital media, and sales as a consultant for small to medium-sized businesses across various industries through my company, Activ8 Corporate Relations + Training (www.activ8inc.com). My passion lies in helping socially conscious people and companies to develop compelling brands, adapt to the fast-paced world of digital media, and boost their reputation to become thought leaders in their industries.My career journey began as a registered investment advisor and Investor Relations consultant in the 1990s, which gave me valuable insights into the financial markets and strategies required to launch and grow young businesses. I decided that marketing was more my style and moved into the marketing communications field, starting my agency in the early 2000s. I worked alongside many growing private and public companies supporting them in obtaining greater recognition and marketshare.On the educational side, I've been teaching adults and youth about business and marketing for over 12 years, working with many Indigenous communities and organizations. I'm also an instructor at BCIT (British Columbia's Institute Of Technology), teaching consumer behaviour and marketing essentials courses.I've taught entrepreneurship to over 850 Indigenous learners, both in-person and online. I've developed a 15-course Entrepreneurship Program, providing resources for Indigenous individuals looking to start and grow their own businesses. Many of my Indigenous participants have become successful entrepreneurs, winning awards and creating jobs within their communities.Outside of my official professional roles, I'm actively involved in my community. I hold a board position at The Children’s Foundation, mentor youth whenever possible, participate as a panel expert, speak on marketing and technology trends for various associations, and have contributed to many news media stories over the years.I am honoured to support socially conscious entrepreneurs in building exciting brands, navigating the fast-changing digital landscape, and helping them achieve their growth objectives.
