About Alexis Atkinson, Cvls

Thanks for stopping by! 😊I moved to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2017 after attending Colorado Mesa University in the beautiful grand valley. A job with the Denver Broncos right out of college brought me to where I am today. While working 2 seasons, various games, a handful of events, and going through the roller coaster of emotions the Broncos led us on I ended up at a small community bank. Moving my passion from working in the sports industry towards helping people in the finance world. Ask me the story there as I love to tell it! I grew up in a very small town (no Walmart for 60+ miles) and was raised with a love for community, relationships, faith, and helping one another. All of which Integrity Bank & Trusts values aligned. I've been working with Integrity Bank & Trust since 2018. During my time at the bank, I have held various roles in Personal Banking, Consumer and Commercial Lending, and now within Integrity’s Home Loans department. From first time home buyers to experienced investors my team and I are here to walk with you through a new purchase, refinance, or construction to permanent. I currently hold certification as a Veterans Lending Specialist. As I enjoy being able to give back to our military men and women by educating them on their home buying options. We are able to help borrowers in all 50 beautiful states! In addition, I serve as the treasurer on Integrity’s Community Engagement Team committee. This committee determines where Integrity’s Charitable Trust dollars are donated each year and how we can get out and have an enduring impact on the community. What I’m known most for however is being a "part time loan officer, full time golfer" as you can usually find me on the course if you can't find me in the office. . .I tend to enjoy a little of the following as well:- Backyard BBQ’s- Snowboarding- Fishing/Hunting- Attending/watching sporting events- Attending community events

Personal Banker

Long story short, a chance from a business card from a country music fan at a concert in my section, that so happened to be a part owner of a bank, brought me to the beginning of my banking career. Someone took a chance on me, and I haven’t looked back. I started in the bank as a part time Personal Banker, you counted right, three different part-time jobs at the same time. I wish I had that kind of energy now . . Starting part time, I made my transition to full time as the position became available. I handled daily transactions, wire requests, large money deposits, cash balancing, sensitive information, and account openings/closings. In this position I was able to learn about different parts of the bank and how they work. Having a wide variety of knowledge on the bank’s products allowed me to point customers in the right direction. I had to be on top of my game when it came to compliance and customer service.

Sales Floor Associate

Along with working at the stadium part time, I added another job to keep me out of trouble. I loved snowboarding and the outdoors so a job talking about the topics all day sounded good to me! While snowboarding sales was the main goal, I was needed more on the two wheeled side of the store. I was hired on as a cashier but by the end of it I was responsible for cashiering, understanding and explaining a variety of bikes and bike accessories, servicing/building mountain bikes, checking bikes in and out of the service bay, all while maintaining a clean and well stocked sales floor. I enjoyed getting to converse with several different personalities and bike lovers. Working for the store taught me more on the importance of customer service, patience, and how team work makes the dream work!

Guest Relations

After graduating college the real fun began. I packed my bags and moved to Colorado Springs, CO after I was offered a job by the Denver Broncos/Mile High Stadium. During my time with the stadium I started as a gate keeper. I was the front line for welcoming guests into the stadium and scanning tickets. After a season I was promoted to the club level where I managed two large sections of guests. Thankfully the ticket price had guests behaving more than other sections of the stadium. I interacted with season ticket holders and their family's clearing their seats from snow/weather, giving information on food and beer vendors. keeping the paths in between seats clear, and crying with them as the Broncos went 3 and out most drives. In addition to the Bronco games I assisted with multiple concerts, the soccer world cup, and CO mammoth pro lacrosse games. I worked in every sort of weather event, too much sunshine, rain, snow, hail, lightning, all with a friendly approachable attitude! Go Broncos!

May 2017 - Aug 2019

Marketing/Hospitality For Athletics Department

While on my way to a bachelors degree in sports business management I was able to leave Cabela's and pursue a job in my degree field. I was back and surrounded by my true love, all things sports. I joined the athletics department responsible for producing marketing material for the university's social media platforms. I went to every home sporting event taking action photos/videos, updating scoring, and blasting clever content on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. I also went out into the community and marketed CMU at the local famers market downtown. Providing extra swag, fun games, and additional information on season tickets. In addition to marketing I was apart of the hospitality team. We were responsible for scheduling food/drink and managing big spenders/sponsors suites. The better the food and drinks, the happier the big spenders became.

Aug 2015 - Aug 2017

Sales Floor Associate

Finishing my time as a coach and a quick back surgery later I moved my studies to Grand Junction. I quickly realized the bills and bar tabs weren't going to pay for themselves. My family has always shopped at Cabela's and I knew I could talk/sale most the items that were in the store. While going to school full time, I worked most nights after class and numerous weekends. Thank goodness for the other college students working at the store to keep my social life alive. I worked my way from a cashier to the supervising sales associate of the "bargain cave". I was responsible for separating returned items and repricing them into the system and arranging them onto the sales floor. Unsalvageable items were then shipped back to the manufacturer or trashed. In addition I would help customers in multiple areas across the store when times were busy, and boy were they!

May 2014 - Aug 2015

Assistant Basketball Coach

After spending a semester at Northern AZ University, a back injury brought me back to CO. I had the opportunity to help coach my old highschool team. During my time as the assistant coach I lead the junior varsity team while helping them develop new skills, team work, time management, and life skills only a team sport can help teach. I also learned a thing or two myself about leadership and working together.

Nov 2013 - May 2014

Ad Wildland Firefighter

Dolores

After high school I wanted to be involved in everything outside related. I spent the summer before hanging around friends that were wildland firefighters. Hearing their stories and watching them go off to work, I knew I wanted to spend the following summer doing just that. I spent the last half of my senior year taking online certification courses. I was certified as a type 2 firefighter as well as an additional engine driver. I spent the summer with my crew digging fire line, repairing fence in the forest, mitigating high fire areas, and watching over the area when most of our crews were called to the Black Forest Fire in Colorado Springs.
