I led the team of engineers that created the UI portion of the platform used to create applications for the Xbox One. This included identifying possible starting points (WinJS vs Xaml) and ultimately specifying how to adapt WinJS to the forms of Input on the Xbox One (Gamepad, Gesture, and Voice) as well as other features that are part of the Xbox experience (Achievements and the OneGuide control). Finally, It involved working with the UX Design team to create guidance for partners as well as a Starter Kit to enable them to create their applications rapidly.I also, specified and drove the creation of the Gamepad input stack and its APIs (Gamepad and NavigationController). As part of this work, I wrote the parser for the Gamepad metadata format (C#).

In the Silverilght team, I worked on a wide variety of projects. I designed, specified, and drove teams of engineers to create Media Features, spearheaded a port of Silverlight to low-powered set-top boxes including working myself to help port the code base (C and C++) to Linux, worked to bring up Silverlight on the Windows Runtime for Windows 8, and brought a version of Silverlight to the Xbox 360 for media applications. In addition, I debugged features that weren't working as I expected as I wrote samples and contributed bug fixes (in C++) to Silverlight.
