I started this position as a co-teacher, and once my partner resigned I took over the entire classroom. In addition to curriculum creation and maintaining student records, I was elected to team lead. I assisted other first-year teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and communicating with parents.

In my role as Paraprofessional, I first had the opportunity to operate as a K-8 building substitute. I created and implemented intervention lessons with small groups, proctored state-mandated testing, and maintained a safe learning environment for all students. I later had the opportunity to take over a Kindergarten classroom where I created and implemented lessons based on state learning targets and tutored small groups of deficient students with marked improvements.

In my role as the Administrative Assistant; I was charged with keeping financial books up to date, track income, and pay expenses & payroll. I provided clerical and administrative support to the clergy and staff. In my role as Website Designer I; designed the website layout, wrote and edited content, and updated the site with new information.

Us

As part of my education courses, I spent 3 weeks working with students from across the district in a summer program. Under the tutelage of Ms. Rushing I helped reinforce math and literacy skills for 2nd grade students advancing to 3rd.

As part of my education courses I assisted Mrs. Hinks with the Young-5's classroom. I was afforded the opportunity to lead whole and small group activities, create lesson plans, run assessments, and participate in the day to day leadership of the classroom.

In this position, I created and implemented age-appropriate curriculum. I lead employees and ensured adherence to state and national childcare guidelines.

In this position, I helped maintain the cleanliness and order of the childcare center. I assisted Lead Teachers with lesson planning, parent interactions, and ensuring child safety.
