I am a Grassroots Community Organizer with over 2 years of experience in public speaking, creative strategy, and curating leadership development programming for transitional age youth of color (ages 14-26) through a lens of art activism, harm reduction education, trauma-informed care, and self-determination.Through my 2 years of experience in advocacy work for queer & trans communities of color, I strive to operate my scope of work through a lens of abolition, transformative justice, restoration, and most importantly centering healing through unlearning. As a young multiracial trans woman of Filipina-Mexican descent, I have found that storytelling in all forms of artistic expression can curate community cultural wealth for underrepresented communities of color who have been systematically impacted by forms of racism, capitalism and colonialism. My greatest joys through my 3+ years of community involvement within the Non-Profit Sector have included my experiences in food justice initiatives, job readiness/leadership development for TAY youth, as well as addressing policy change through art-based activism. I envision a future that secures the livelihood for disadvantaged communities of color through generating funds, accessible resources, & coalition-building back to QTBIPOC individuals by fostering grassroots community-led spaces made for us, by us.
