Responsible for the effectiveness of the Human Resources and Work Health and Safety functions to ensure workers are safe, engaged and are equipped with the skills, knowledge, ability, and confidence to perform their work to an excellent standard.Human Resources:Partner with business leaders to ensure best practice approaches to human resource management and deliver on the business strategy. Provide training, coaching and support on matters such as employee and industrial relations, separations, performance and misconduct, and complaints and grievance management. Analyse human resources and payroll matters and prepare correspondance including briefing reports. Manage the HRMS, coordinate end to end employee lifecycle activities and collate workforce data for reporting and auditing. Work Health and Safety:Develop and maintain safe systems of work, provide support and advice to staff and managers on incident management and investigation matters. Liaise with SafeWork SA as well as coordinating Return to Work SA systems for the organisation including occupational rehabilitation and injury management. Chair the Health and Safety Committee to promote effective and meaningful WHS communication and consultation.

Providing direct leadership to Duty Manager, Lifeguard and Cleaning staff. Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the facility plants including the pool, spa, steam room, splash park, mechanical and air handling. Safeguarding the business operations through systematic and detailed risk management and risk reduction strategies and the coordination of external contractors with the development and implementation of planned preventative maintenance programs.

Aquadome

Responsible for the performance of the Aquadome health club, group fitness, personal training and allied health programs including; achieving budget targets, KPI's, staff development and performance. Additionally, providing strategic guidance and support to the broader YMCA South Australia Health & Fitness operations.A key highlight of this role involved reshaping the Allied Health program, championing new systems and processes amongst internal stakeholders, establishing strategic relationships with external stakeholders, and creating a viable program that can easily be scaled out to other YMCA facilities throughout South Australia.During this role, Locky championed the Aquadome to becoming the first Fitness Australia Quality Accredited business in South Australia.
