I currently teach Year 10 and Year 11 AP Human Geography as well as Year 12 English at Hangzhou High School Qianjiang Campus.

Between August 2014 and June 2016, I was head of the English Department at HFLS A Level Centre. The job was demanding, requiring a high level of subject knowledge as well as interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. My responsibilities included:- Providing in service teacher training (Engrade, CIE English Language and Literature for new teachers)- Leading a team of 4 expat and 5 local staff.- Developing schemes of work for CIE subjects including 0510 English as a Second Language, 8695 English Language and Literature as well as 9695 English Literature.- Internal moderation of CIE 0510 speaking assessment marks.- Developing the framework for the English language HFLS entrance examination for year one students- Writing exams as well as mark schemes for monthly tests- Assisting in developing centre policies across a range of areas.- Providing IELTS support for students.- Assisting students with university advice including personal statements and common application essays.

I taught a variety of CIE English subjects including 0510 English as a Second Language (year 10) , 8695 English Language and Literature and 9695 English Literature years 11 and 12) . I also taught CIE 9609 AS Business Studies (year 11).I also provided in-service training for Dipont Staff related teaching IELTS exam preparation.

I teach IGCSE English, English for Academic Purposes and IELTS preparation at Suzhou High School. The students are highly motivated and hoping to study at prestigious universities overseas. The teaching is made easier because of a supportive team environment and strong leadership.

Responsibilities: Examining the speaking and writing modules of an internationally recognized English exam.

I taught a variety of subjects including Indonesian language (years 7-12) ,English (years 8-9) humanities (year 8-9), evironmental studies (year 9), industry and enterprise (year 11).Teaching in a country setting was a fantastic way to begin my teaching career. I had great teaching mentors and support at the college.
