I graduated as a medical doctor (MBBCh) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2020. I am completing my community service year at Potchefstroom Hospital, spending half of the year in Anaesthesia and the other half in Paediatrics. I completed my internship years at Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital in Pretoria. I also obtained a B.Sc degree in Natural Science with Microbiology and Human Physiology as major subjects, with Chemistry as a minor, from UNISA in 2013.Upon completion of my B.Sc I gained extensive experience at an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, specializing in Liquid Chromatography, for which I was a SANAS accredited technical signatory (as per ISO 17025). In addition to my scientific experience and training, I also have a very strong management background, with over 10 years’ experience in small business management. Prior to studying medicine, I worked as a Regulatory Compliance Officer at a leading medical device manufacturing company in Pretoria. I have obtained experience working with the Medical Device Quality Management System (ISO13485:2016 certified) and gained a broad understanding of medical device regulation. I have experience in the development and creation of validation protocols, testing methods, procedures, and technical work instructions. In addition to these functions, I also acted as an internal and supplier auditor for the company, including several of its sister companies and manufacturers.
