I am currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at University Paris Saclay. My research is focused on creation of electron beams using Laser-Plasma interaction. I focus on the use of High Performance Computing to simulate this interaction. I obtained a bachelor degree in Process/Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University. After my degree I started working as a chemical engineer at Sasol in their Engineer In Training (EIT) program. During this time I worked as a plant engineer on a hydroformylation plant. Further I worked in R&D in the Process Development section. Here I was engaged in early engineering and pilot plant studies. I left Sasol to pursue a career in physics. I obtained a bachelor in Physics and studied Mathematical Physics at Leipzig University. I completed a European master degree in Nuclear Fusion at Gent University and University of Lorraine.
