There was more to being a busser than just cleaning tables. We were required to arrive before the even to help set up, as well as stay afterwards to help tear down. This included unloads equipment trucks, setting the tables, preparing the food, etc. There was constant opportunity to improve my communication skills with my coworkers along with those involved in the event. While there were always nice people, on multiple occasions I had to handle situations where people showed frustration towards me over something I was not in control over. I learned from situations like these to calm everyone involved and work swiftly to find a solution.
