As a person who is drawn to entrepreneurship I like to approach problems from a different angle. In my experience as a supervisor in retail/customer service and in real estate, I learned to embrace that skill and apply it to myself. From phones to games, I’ve always loved working with tech. The problem I had with previous jobs is I wasn’t working with technology as much as I wanted to. That’s when I decided to improve my education by enrolling in Grand Circus front-end web development to gain programming skills, develop as a person, and chase that fulfillment I wanted out of a career. I was hooked the moment I got a taste of what it means to be a developer. I found that developers are the entrepreneurs of the tech world. Just like an entrepreneur, we as developers always have to approach problems from different angles. Whether it's to better design, accessibility, usability or performance, we never stop improving. My personal goal with all of my endeavors is to become a different person by the end. Every experience, good or bad, has take a take away. And with each take away I now know more than I did before. Just like in programming everyday has a take away because for every function, console.log, or failed loop I encounter, I know I didn't fail completely. Just like our buddy Edison once said " I didn't fail 10,000 times - I've successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work".My career goal is to find a company that offers growth, values it's employee's creative ideas and has teams that function in a collaborative / supportive manner. With a more UI focused path to building websites and apps for clients, I would like if the opportunity arises in the future, be a creative team lead, manager, or director. Want to get in touch?
