My name is Logan Blackman, I am a recent graduate from the University of Northern Iowa and am I am a podcast/radio show host and currently host my own show titled 'The Logan Blackman Show,' which is available on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify!On my show we discuss almost everything in the sports world, but mainly I try to focus my attention on football, both college and the NFL, and some topics surrounding soccer. Out of all the things there is to take about in the sports world, my favorite thing to cover is the NFL Draft. Over the past few years, I have gone deeper and deeper into my NFL Draft coverage, to the point of where I'm scouting players, providing player prospect rankings, making mock drafts, creating videos, and, obviously, discussing all of this on my podcast.Outside of my podcast I have had a few other jobs in the sports media world. My amateur career has seen me filming different live sporting events, at both William Penn and UNI for ESPN3 and ESPN+, and hosting my own radio show at the student stations, which is where I got started. Along with that, I spent a few months working with the voice of the UNI Panthers, Gary Rima, co-hosting and co-producing his show titled 'On Press Row,' which was aired on 1540 KXEL before it went off the air in March of 2020. On there, I would answer phones, provide opinions, upload the podcast, and, occasionally, host the show on my own. Afterwards, I interned at 1650 The Fan, where I co-hosted a show titled 'Cole & Company.' Similarly to 'On Press Row,' I would provide opinions but also recorded radio spots for our show and other businesses around the area as well as creating segments and also reading out the news from around the Cedar Valley area. Even now, since my internship ended at The Fan, I still appear on 'Cole & Company' as a special guest where I provide "expert" analysis from different things from around the world of football, whether it be college, the NFL, or the Draft as a whole.Along with my internship at the Fan, I have had the opportunity to run audio board for Cedar Falls and other high school football games as well as being able to do some color commentary for the Cedar Falls football team, which is started doing in 2021.
