I am a Train Dispatcher with Union Pacific Railroad. I have progressed quickly from my time as an apprentice train dispatcher, to an extraboard dispatcher, to owning a relief job, and owning multiple 2nd and 3rd shift desks. I am responsible for the safe movement of trains and on track equipment, managing train crews, maintenance of way, and other field employees in order to meet operational requirements. During this time I also acted as a Developmental Corridor Manager and took on the responsibilities of managing multiple dispatchers in the St Louis and Kansas City East Corridors. This job is both high stress and deadline driven, so effective planning and being able to adapt to diverse situations is a requirement.

As a Senior Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton my goal was to improve operational effectiveness for training at the 338th Combat Training Squadron for Data Link Operators. This was done in two ways. The first was by developing training programs in order to streamline and improve what was available from the US Air Force. The second was by doing flight training for Data Link Operators on board the RC-135 V/W aircraft. This was fast paced training that required identifying active duty service members strengths and weaknesses in order to prepare them for qualification as a Data Link Operator. During my time with Booz Allen Hamilton I also spearheaded the development of training guides that became the standard for the flight phase of training for Data Link Operators. Also during this time I showed an immense degree of public trust having been cleared with a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

During my time in the United States Air Force I was an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist and Data Link Operator. I was trained in Persian-Farsi by the military. As I progressed in my career I moved on to manage other service members, air crew, and mission support. This included having direct reports, day to day mission operations, training and operations in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, and leading mission support for joint operations. Also during this time I showed an immense degree of trust having been cleared with a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
