I am a current mechanical engineering undergraduate at BYU with interest in product development and 3D modeling and simulation. I have worked with CAD software for 5+ years and am especially familiar with SolidWorks. In particular I have skills utilizing the SolidWorks simulation software for FEA and motion analysis. I have been involved in many technical design projects and have leadership experience in most of those projects. These include, but are not limited to: - An intercollegiate design team creating a fixed-wing UAV for a search and rescue application - Designing an FPV RC Car with an analog steering wheel controller from scratch using the STM32 Blue Pill microcontroller and the RF24L01 receiver boards - The creation of an autonomous mechatronic robot that could perform several basic tasks using combinations of various motors, sensors, and a PIC24F16 microcontrollerI also have valuable international product development experience as a graduate of the Singapore International Product Development study abroad program. During this program I worked on a design team with students from the National University of Singapore and Penn State on the development of a bluetooth compatible mechatronic system to improve solutions to the laundry systems in residential high rise buildings. I have had success in multiple jobs including as a production engineer at a startup in American Fork UT, a mechanical engineering intern at Fortem Technologies in Pleasant Grove UT, a research assistant in BYU’s MAGICC Lab working on drone related projects, a member of the TEC Lab team in the college of education at BYU, and being a sales representative at Grit Marketing in Detroit Michigan and Minneapolis Minnesota. As a sales representative I achieved 420+ sales within 22 weeks of work for two different pest control companies and generated $360,000 in sales revenue. I also have considerable leadership experience as a member of a senior leadership team at Grit Marketing, in leadership positions in the Philippines during a two year service mission for my church, and as the Vice President of Eastern Utah on the Utah FBLA state officer team from 2016-2017.
