Quoting and entering orders for new and existing customers, getting new customers introduced to Tejas Tubular Products and the products we manufacture, informing customers of product capabilities and specifications, tracking orders to make sure the product needed for those orders is being manufactured in a timely manner, staying in contact with scheduling and production so I can inform customers of the best possible lead times for material, staying up to date on API requirements and any new products that Tejas is developing, meeting with customers to make sure they are satisfied with the level of service we are providing them as well as finding out where they are planning to go with future endeavors and making sure Tejas is in a position to assist them, observing and analyzing the market to assist with new product development, obtaining information to help set prices on new products as well as making sure existing products are competitively priced, collaborating with the warehouse manager and supervisor to make sure the warehouse is being run efficiently and effectively. I have also subbed in as warehouse supervisor, scheduled trucks for orders, drove the Tejas truck to retrieve and deliver products, and packaged orders as needed.

As a superintendent my duties included supervising all operations taking place on the warehouse side; such as crane lifts, yard layouts, and any other unique tasks. Before a vessel arrived, it was my job to make sure that there is an easy to access discharge area and all cargo that was scheduled to load was pre-staged to help increase the productivity of the operation. In addition, I kept in close contact with the port captains to make sure they had all information required for the cargo that was being prepared for loading on the vessel. During vessel operations, I was in charge of a gang of longshore men where I made sure they loaded the vessel according to the plan, as well as solving any problems that might arise during these operations.
