As operations manager at a high-performing charter school in Denver, Logan completed his Masters's in Education and Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. Logan then moved back to Pueblo to be closer to family and began researching education opportunities for his son. Unable to find an elementary school that aligned with Logan's personal philosophy of education and committed to improving the community, sparked the fire that grew into Villa Bella Expeditionary. Logan knows that education in Pueblo subsequently affects the economy and wants to be a part of investing in that future for Pueblo.In 2016 Logan first drafted a charter proposal while serving as a principal at an alternative education campus. The charter was presented to both D60 and D70. The proposal was initially denied by D60 whereas D70 supported the concept and helped bring it to fruition. In September 2018 D70 unanimously approved Villa Bella Expeditionary: a charter/lab school concept that had been in the making for the past three years. Logan recently completed an education specialist program in superintendency and his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Cumberlands.Logan Gogarty is a strong entrepreneurial and educational leader. He launched his first retail fashion company as an undergrad at CSU-Pueblo while concurrently serving as the Student Body President. After obtaining his BA in Spanish, Logan taught bilingual elementary school with Teach For America in San Antonio, TX. As a teacher he infused his classroom with technology, adopting 1:1 blended learning. While in the classroom he also founded his second company, Respongy, a mobile app that allows students to rate school cafeteria food. Logan and Respongy won Google's Houston Startup Weekend EDU event. Logan is consistently finding ways to improve the community around him.
