From an early age, I’ve always known I wanted to help people. With practical experience in process engineering/raw materials and degrees in materials science and chemical engineering, I’m hoping to land a research role in environmentalism, infrastructure, or pharmaceuticals (modify as needed) to help the general populace. My most compelling wins have involved streamline processes, including researching and reorganizing tasks and teams to increase productivity and decrease accidents up to 15%. Because I have a good understanding of cost modelling, I’m able to understand the entire system lifecycle. I’m accustomed to analyzing data and conducting root cause analyses, presenting findings to senior leadership to prevent potential issues.In my most recent role as glass technologist with Corelle Brands, I’ve identified opportunities to improve efficiency with a chemistry batching system and eliminate errors for potential savings of $250K. I’ve also used X-ray diffraction testing to improve/control the chemistry of core and glaze glasses and increased employee safety by implementing systems that decreased exposure to harmful chemicals by up to 50%.
