Hello, I am Logan Horner, an astronuclear engineer specializing in nuclear power and propulsion for spacecraft. Currently I possess a BSc in astronautical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University but I am also now half way through an MSc in nuclear engineering through the University of Idaho. While at the University of Idaho I have also been working as a graduate research assistant in atom probe tomography (APT) analysis of oxide-dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloys for space nuclear applications. This work, combined with my background in aerospace has led me to specialize in nuclear materials for space applications. My goal in life is to enhance humanity's capabilities in space through the application of nuclear power and propulsion. Without it, we are but bugs buzzing around the solar system with our primitive chemical and solar powered probes and rovers that run out of propellant or battery power, but enhanced with nuclear power like Perserverance and Curiosity we can become the true multi-planet species we are meant to be.
