My research interests are focused on using spatial methods to understand interactions at the intersection of wildlife, humans, and the environment, divided into (1) applied interests, such as understanding the impact of both global and local disturbances like climate change and wildfire on species, mapping movement corridors to inform management activities, human-wildlife conflict, exploring habitat selection for various species, coupled human and natural systems, and (2) theoretical interests, such as exploring the inner workings of various modeling approaches to develop best practice recommendations and developing methods to include more biologically meaningful information in connectivity models, such as predation risk and human-wildlife interactions.
