HUNT-EAS is a full service A/E firm that focuses on achieving clients' visions and expectations of their built environment.I worked as part of the Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Department. More specifically, as part of the Electrical Engineering team where our primary responsibilities were to ensure the proper design of electrical systems involved with clients' projects so that they were safe, functional, and reliable.Examples include replacing the lighting in a building with LED type lights. Or, designing an emergency power system for an office space. Daily responsibilities included:-Coordinating with other professions so that all project scope items were clearly accounted for and all of the necessary information was appropriately conveyed through drawings and supporting documentation.-Performed calculations when necessary to determine wire size, transformer size, over-current protection, voltage drop, short-circuit current, and other related electrical information for a project.-Utilized NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) when questions arose about the proper design and implementation of electrical systems so that all drawings and design decisions were code-compliant.

Cemecon Inc. provides customers with expertise in tool coating services through the use of PVD, CVD, and HiPIMS coating technologies.As a member of the Production team, I was responsible for maintaining proper care of customer tools as well as following proper procedures in order to ensure that customers were 100% satisfied with the quality of our coating service.As RT Production Team Leader, my responsibilities included, but we’re not limited to:• Overseeing the activities of the Round Tool production department to ensure the process was flowing smoothly.• Communicated with production team the daily/weekly goals and ensured the proper people were in the right place at the right time in order to most effectively meet those goals.• Identified bottlenecks throughout the day, and performed any task, as needed, in order to keep a steady work flow.• Performed routine quality control procedures with a focus on customer satisfaction.

University At Buffalo

Spent final three semesters working with the UB Talker Research Group. UB Talker is a multi-disciplinary research group led by faculty mentor Dr. Kris Schindler.The group consists of students from the medical field as well as the engineering fields in order to design, test, and develop technology to help a variety of people communicate more effectively.The group designed and developed an Eye Tracker system for a late-stage ALS patient to allow them to use their gaze to communicate their needs to the medical staff as well as interact with loved ones.We presented our research at several conferences during Spring 2017, including the ASEE conference held at UB. It was there that we volunteered to help with registration, gave a 15-minute technical presentation, and also won the award for Best Poster.
