Undergraduate Research Assistant: Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology Lab (Sepp)
Current--RA in support of facilitating lab meetings on relevant literature and theoretical topics, in addition to managing emails, communication, and other human relationships.--IRB certified at the UMN in social/behavioral research.--Create and conduct mental skills training sessions (imagery, self-compassion) with Penn State Athletics and Twin Cities High School Athletics.--Facilitated study as lead instructor teaching free throw sessions ($5000 Grant).--Analyzing physiological samples in house.--Network with other sport psychology professors and professionals.--Sit in on organizing data and learning statistical equation modeling.--Present novel research at fairs and conferences.--Authorship in a qualitative study on athlete coping mechanisms and internal dialogue (in progress). --Received 1000 dollar grant to conduct research--Collected data at Sanneh Foundation.
