I'm a third generation Chiropractor, following my father and grandfather. My grandfather started the practice in Independence, KS in 1949. Interested in science from a young age, I pursued a degree in physics after graduating high school with the intention of becoming a physicist and doing research. I eventually decided to switch my focus to chiropractic, but kept my passion for research and an analytical mindset.While attending Life College of Chiropractic, I was hired by the school to tutor my fellow students. Subjects included algebra, organic chemistry, and physics. I continue privately tutoring high school and college students today because I enjoys teaching and helping students reach their full potential.After spending time in Atlanta, Georgia gaining additional experience with upright MRI and its application to upper cervical chiropractic, I returned to my home town of Independence, Kansas. I'm a member of the Young Professionals of Independence and a Scouting BSA leader.I've recently completed 300+ hours of study to earn the Diplomate of Craniocervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP). This course aims to deepen understanding and further research into the effect of specific chiropractic adjustments on the head and neck. It brings together a wide variety of low force techniques aimed at correcting issues in the region without twisting or “popping” the neck.
