• Mentor and train new geologists in underground ore control practices, vein interpretation, and surface tasks.• Manage and monitor geological databases and drawings, implementing reoccurring checks to assure data is properly handled. • Provide geologic feedback to production geologist team as underground uncertainties are encountered.• Assist with production geologist team underground in daily tasks as needed. • Ensuring optimal production tons and grades are being achieved with diligent stope oversight and consistent communication with miners, shift bosses, foreman and Chief Geologist.• Work with Geology, Operations, and Engineering on finalizing stope projections to help ensure a complete understanding of the next cut.• Identify key areas from current mining headings to be taken into account in future projection maps.• Actively map structures (bedding, joints, faults) from all cuts and communicate with the miners on potential interactions in future mining.• Standardize underground procedures and develop appropriate SOPs to ensure cohesivity within the production geology team. • Compile data and produce stope closeout reports for cutsheets.• Assist with month end reconciliation reporting.• Provide exploration and stope guidance to production geologist team using drillhole data and geological modeling. • Assist the Chief Geologist and Exploration Manager with tasks as necessary.• Compile and finalize mapping to ensure the most up to date stope maps are available as soon as possible.• Track face grade estimates actively being made by the Beat Geologists to help them better gauge their eyes.

• Measuring advance, collecting routine face samples, and giving guidance to miners at the face.• Optimizing production tons/grades with diligent stope oversight and consistent communication with miners, shift bosses, foreman and Chief Geologist. • Maintaining detailed geologic mapping of all assigned work areas including complete geologic mapping of every third production cut and all I-drifts, raises and drift development. • Compiling stope closeout reports every third production cut and all I-drifts, raises and drift development. • Creating projection plan maps for all upcoming production headings and distributing them to miners and management.• Other duties as assigned including drillhole planning, occasional core logging, field work, vein coding, geologic modeling, mill/mine/model reconciliations.

Geologic Map Transect of the Northern Rockies:• Assist with the development of best practices for converting legacy geologic maps to modern, GeMS-compliant databases. • Working in ArcGIS to convert maps from Arc/Info coverage to ArcGIS file geodatabase formats; creating the necessary topology and database schema to comply with GeMS; and cross-walking the legacy attribute information into the GeMS-compliant database. • Performing rigorous quality checks between the GIS data and the original printed maps; working with research geologists to address map boundary and other problems; and developing FGDC metadata to accompany the final published datasets.Mineral Separation Lab Technician:• Methods include cutting/splitting, crushing, grinding, Wilfley table, magnetic separation, and heavy liquid separation.• Quality management system (QMS) compliant, following all quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) protocols and procedures.
