Created Communication plans for engaging politicians in the bank’s initiative of addressing financial abuse. Additionally completed a data analysis of mortgage data from Green Loan Program in order to gain insights for the expansion of the program to non-mortgage customers of the bank. Developed a Project Plan and timeline for a casino night fundraising event utilizing project management tools.

Worked directly with the full time immigration lawyer on cases ranging from Asylum application to Green Card and Citizenship. I supported the lawyer by helping to scan important documents and file cases initially. I then helped fill out required forms and conducted research on clients questions regarding access to benefits for non-citizens. I also had the chance to sit in on meetings with clients both virtually and in person where we simulated the immigration officer interview with the clients in order to prepare them.

Collaborated with a small team to develop two literature reviews with more than 40 articles each on Industry Self Regulation and Democratic Initiatives utilizing AI. Used a variety of sources from google scholar to google searches in order to identify different perspectives on each topic. Summarized and highlighted key points from each of the articles within the literature review matrix. Additionally our team researched grants and funding that the chair could apply for through different initiatives including the European Union and Erasmus.

This was a summer job between my freshman and sophomore year of college at an organic farm in my hometown. It provided a great opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture and community-sized farming, which I believe are important to the future of agriculture and food systems. I literally learned from the ground up by pulling weeds, harvesting vegetables and flowers, and doing nursery plantings. I also worked directly with the owner and gained an understanding of many elements involved in running a medium-scale farm business, including organic certification, the cost of different crops, and the impact of weather on yield.

Conducted qualitative research on the impact of Jordan’s fiscal policy on inequality and developed a report with a group of students that summarized our research and recommended solutions. We worked in teams of 5 over a three-month period, first compiling information about the macroeconomic situation in the country followed by brainstorming and presenting solutions.

Took part in an online internship conducted by Paragon One through which I had the opportunity to work with a global company, Credera, on their DE&I initiatives. I conducted qualitative and quantitative research about Bengal, India to answer 27 questions covering demographic, cultural, economic, and political topics and made a 5-minute presentation on the research results. This internship enabled me to gain valuable insight into how companies conduct research projects and what kind of information they prioritize.

I worked across various departments supporting the commercial bakery, apple packing line, and cider production. This gave me insight into how a medium-size factory operates and delivers hundreds of products on a daily basis. I also had the opportunity to work with the sales team in order to learn about customer relations and logistics.

After volunteering for more than a year I was offered a part-time job during the school year and worked a full-time schedule during the summer. In this new role I took on increased responsibilities including organizing and leading activities ranging from sports games to musical events for group of 10-25 participants. I also had the opportunity to put together presentations and share information I had learned during travels and from my own research. This job pushed me to interact and converse with older people while also becoming more comfortable as a leader.
