I started out my career as a mechatronics engineer developing advanced roboticdelivery and manufacturing systems, then pivoted to building decentralized digitalidentity solutions. More recently I have been working to make open banking a realityin New Zealand. I have been fortunate to be a part of building a SAAS microservicesplatform and crypto wallet from inception through to serving millions of users. Ihave been involved in the full development cycle, gathering requirements andplanning work for my team, and navigating ambiguous problem spaces.For the last several years, I have been fortunate enough to be involved inchallenging, high-stakes projects, including developing the New Zealand covid-19vaccine pass, and building on integrations for all of New Zealand's major banks. Ihave a history of applying best practices and establishing better workflows in theteams I operate in. I’m passionate about delivering high quality code whileunderstanding the wider business context. From my work with the World Wide WebConsortium (W3C) I have gained experience in developing a product in an emergingdomain and accelerated my understanding of software architecture through webstandards development.
