Recently, I graduated from Seattle University with my master's in public administration (MPA). I focused my studies on public safety and the empowerment of communities through increasing the transparency and accountability of local law enforcement. My professional experience is based on legislative and electoral advocacy. Intersections of volunteer management, coalition building, community education, public engagement, policy analysis, and more characterize my time working with nonprofits in Washington. My bachelor's degree is from Louisiana State University in political science with dual minors in international studies and women's gender studies. I was a student-athlete while at LSU, swimming all four years. In my junior and senior years, I served as captain of the men's swim team, acting as a liaison between the coaching staff and team members. I also served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and traveled across the Southeastern Conference representing LSU. I am extremely proud of my work with another swimmer, Leah Troskot, in expanding mental health services for athletes at LSU resulting in two additional staff therapists.
