• Research, investigate, and survey available sources of information, including community expertise, related to a variety of complex policy issues, including policing, public safety, infrastructure, or technology policy.• Compile data; perform or assist in the organizing, analyzing, and interpreting of data; summarize andpresent compiled data in report or table form.• Respond to inquiries from constituents, stakeholders, and City of Seattle Councilmembers and staff.• Stay informed about policy issues and legislation before the Council, in the City, and emerging issues in other jurisdictions.• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and work well with the general public, stakeholders, and agency staff.• Develop outreach and engagement strategies on policy issue areas.• Prepares speeches, talking points, and issue briefings on policy areas.• Assist with constituent services including screening and responding to Councilmembers' paper andelectronic mail, and answering telephone calls.• Available to support team in times of high needs, including during periods of short-staffing.• Serve as backup for ED meetings and support as the operational point person when the ED is out under the guidance of Commissioners.

• Build a coalition of environmental organizations, community members, and elected officials to coordinate efforts around passing a county-wide ballot measure to protect 65,000 acres of the remaining best and last lands. • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with campaign priorities. • Develop effective communication materials to raise understanding and awareness of the campaign. • Research the history of environmental reforms in Washington, compared to recent climate change data to craft campaign messaging on the need to expand land conservation funding. • Communicate and engage with community, stakeholders, and voters both verbally and in writing.

• Create and implement field plan to generate community excitement for the campaign through phonebanking, virtual house parties, social media engagement, and door knocking to ensure a winning percentage of the vote come November. • Recruit, train, and manage all volunteers to assist with campaign priorities such as fundraising, Get Out the Vote (GOTV), voter registration, community event attendees, writing Letters to the Editor of local papers, etc. • Evaluate campaign progress and establish benchmarks for voter contact, community engagement, and endorsement procurement. • Research elected officials and other potential campaign partners, policies impacting prosecuting office, campaign tactics, and methods of responding to community feedback about campaign.

• Managed legislative and electoral advocacy, volunteers, the intern & fellow program, development and engagement of state-wide chapter teams, community education events, and safe storage giveaways. • Remodeled State-Wide Chapter Team program to re-engage volunteers and drive actions to support state-wide gun violence prevention (GVP) efforts, resulting in six new teams across Washington.• Organized and led 40+ policy discussion meetings between constituents and legislators during the interim to ensure GVP remained a priority year-round. • Spearheaded GOTV efforts for endorsed candidates in primary and general elections leading volunteers and staff to knock on 6000+ doors in 2019 and 2020. • Created and led lobby days of 5-300 people to advocate for gun violence prevention policies in Olympia. • Presented dozens of educational events each year to increase knowledge on gun violence prevention, register voters, and explain legislative and electoral processes. • Recruited, trained, and dispatched 500+ volunteers on various advocacy activities, such as legislative testimony, legislative lobbying, constituency meetings, door knocking, and phonebanking.

• Collaborated with Program Director to secure $200,000 of grant funding for partner organization working in community diversion programs. • Led recruitment, onboarding, trainings, and daily supervision of 30+ interns and fellows; coming from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds and were between 16 and 36 years of age. • Organized 40+ community and volunteer events every year to increase support state-wide for gun violence prevention legislation and candidates. • Retained voter and volunteer data base information with over 400,000 individuals statewide. • Implemented a digital advocacy platform to increase efficiency of volunteer training, community communication, and management of chapter teams.

• Partnered with Field Director to implement a strategic field plan that resulted in over 28,000 direct voter contacts for I-1639 & endorsed candidates statewide. • Served as point person for all 49 WA Legislative Districts and procured endorsements from 28 LD Democrats across the state. • Interviewed, hired, and trained replacement Field Organizer as well as a team of interns during the GOTV phase of the campaign. • Utilized VAN to create all Direct Voter Contact call lists, as well as Canvass Turfs for volunteers and Field Organizers to reach target voters.

• Organized statewide volunteers to gather over 65,000 signatures from diverse demographics; surpassing the projected signature goals by 162%. • Recruited and retained volunteers in King, Pierce, Mason, & Thurston Counties to gather signatures and attend campaign events. • Represented I-1639 at outreach events with other Gun Violence Prevention organizations such as Mom’s Demand Action & Thurston Gun Sense. • Managed all volunteer activities and events in Pierce, Mason, & Thurston Counties.

• Planned and organized all aspects of recruiting trips for prospective athletes, including setting up academic meetings, itineraries, meals, etc. • Supervised three team managers; ensuring unified, productive daily work. • Managed a 30+ hour work week with a full-time graduate class load. • Traveled with the team to ensure proper handling of all non-coaching needs: hotel reservations, large scale food order, bus schedule, equipment distribution, etc.
