5 session Project Engineering Co-Op gaining approximately 2 years of hands-on engineering experience.• Session 5: o Completed testing, troubleshooting, and validation of Honda specific requirements on a new pedal design that was experiencing potential failures based on initial test results. A modified pedal design was the outcome of this extensive project. o Acted as the automotive acceleration pedal product expert for the design of multiple pieces of testing equipment with a value of $250k.o Created validation testing procedures based on customer specifications for a new accelerator pedal.• Session 4: o Worked with Nissan to create a high force prototype acceleration pedal. The design was used in the second round of prototypes to continue to develop the product. • Session 3:o Assisted with the equipment validation plan testing to scale-up a high-volume new acceleration pedal line prior to being shipped to the final manufacturing location. o Worked with tool suppliers to make dimensional changes on plastic injection molds to achieve tolerance requirements for the acceleration pedals. • Session 1 & 2:o Completed analysis and testing on warranty and field returns. Developed skills in technical report writing and customer presentations explaining the nature of the failures and plan for resolution.o Completed developmental testing on new acceleration pedal design• Generalo Trained new co-ops and interns to familiarize them with the products and taught techniques for testing, report writing and presentations. o Worked with diverse set of international automotive customers and manufacturing plants.
