In this role I have gained experience leading my associates and operating the outside lawn & garden department. I engage and help our customers with loading their products, answering lawn/garden questions, accepting product delivery, and creating department displays for the store. I have been trained to operate the store's forklifts and other powered equipment with safety.

Main job duties:*Largest job duty was accounting for our client company Fischer Single Family Homes IV, LLC.Creating variance purchase orders (VPO's) based on amount difference between Barrett's invoices and Fischer's purchase orders.Auditing January - July 2023 outstanding variance purchase orders, communicating with Fischer managers to resolve issues and receive payment.*Entering checks received from Fischer Homes into Barrett's continuously updated excel sheet.*Updating Barrett's excel sheet with new variance purchase orders.*Training Barrett's staff accountant to use Fischer's software before completing the internship. *Creating my own excel sheets to more effectively track the progress of problematic invoices, and sharing these excel sheets with our Accounts Receivable manager.*Creating monthly profit and loss statements for the 5 quarries and 4 sand/gravel plants for the previous two years.*Scanning tax documents into OnBase for online file storage for two Ohio regions, and one Indiana region.*Updating accrued property taxes for the 3 regions in Barrett's property tax excel sheet.Other job duties:*Updating job order status of Barrett projects over the previous two years in JWS Apex.*Referencing Barrett's financial statements in JD Edwards when updating Barrett excel sheets.*Using JWS Apex to find and send sales tickets to Barrett project managers for estimating.*Presenting my intern experience to nearly 110 Barrett Industries employees in Buffalo, New York. *Presenting a safety talk to the Barrett Mid-Ohio office staff.*Attending weekly intern Microsoft Teams calls to learn about various job functions - Estimating, career development, marketing, aggregates, accounting, safety.

I try to help the customer leave the store feeling just as good or better than when they came in. I work part time at Dorothy Lane Market Frontend while also attending University of Dayton. I have graduated Sinclair with my Associates Degree and transferred to the University of Dayton in fall 2022. My major is Accounting and I will graduate with my Bachelors Degree from the University of Dayton in 2024.
