Driven. Trustworthy. Curious.Currently, I am completing my final year in my BSc of Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge. I aim to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy to pursue research in pharmacology. I am passionate about making a difference in my community and applying my interests in life and chemical sciences pharmacy will provide me with the opportunity to help the public in a medical discipline. Within my broad courses at the University of Lethbridge, I have obtained skills in analytical ultracentrifugation, quantitative real-time PCR, homology modelling, and DNA extraction along with many other techniques mastered throughout my academic career. I am comfortable operating PC, Macintosh and Linux platforms.Currently, I am working as a winter wheat research assistant under Dr. Harwinder Sidhu with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada at the Lethbridge Research and Development Center. Working in a program dedicated to producing agronomically superior winter wheat cultivars with enhanced disease and pesticide resistance for production in Western Canada, committed to delivering sustainability in an unpredictable climate – directly giving back to the Canadian farming business. My unique experience has helped me explore my passion for hands-on laboratory research that directly gives back to my community and has prepared me to engage in professional opportunities in my career path.
