In my years at Wabash College, I was a member of the Wabash newspaper, The Bachelor, Co-Chair of the Archival committee at the Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies, and I worked as a Head Peer-Career Advisor at the Wabash College Career Services. I have learned to work with people of many different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds as DEI and equality in all spaces has become one of my main focuses.I spent the summer of 2021 taking programs to improve my soft skills and knowledge of nonprofit and donation focused jobs. I have had many opportunities like these at Wabash that have allowed me to improve my understanding of the world and help me realize that I will never know everything about everyone, and I should always be willing to learn.I was also blessed to spend the summer of 2022 working with a non-profit in Crawfordsville, Volunteers for Mental Health in Montgomery County (VMHMC) while I learned about non-profit marketing and operations from an experienced teacher and volunteer who served as my mentor. Now, as I continue my career with the Enterprise Truck Division, I am excited to see how I can help others and change the world one interaction at a time.
